All Star Cheerleading

I have been doing cheerleading for twelve years in total. I started recreational cheer when I was only five years old and continued until I was eleven years old. Rec cheer is essentially cheering on the sidelines at football games. Although I did it for six years, I didn’t like it very much. So, I decided to move to all star cheerleading when I was eleven. All star cheerleading is much harder than sideline cheer. We don’t do any chants or cheer for any team. We have a jam packed routine of two and a half minutes of nonstop stunting, tumbling, jumps, and a dance. This sport has gotten much harder over the years, and I’ve improved a lot since I started six years ago. I am very passionate about cheer, seeing as I’ve been doing it for twelve years straight. It lets me escape from the real world and lets me have an empty mind to just focus on practice while I’m there. It also brings a different kind of stress, though. It has frustrated me many time throughout the years and sometimes I’ve even doubted myself, but I always find the passion I’ve had since the beginning and decide to keep going.

Post High School plans

After high school, I plan to go to a four year college with a good video production program. I would like to complete and graduate college and if I have to, get more schooling for the kind of job I want in the future.

Hobby

Photography is the hobby that I have done for the longest time. I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. I have improved a lot since I have been in my shop at my vocational high school. I like being creative through taking photos and can make my imagination come alive.

Career

My career path has many options. I want to be either a film director, a photographer, a video journalist, a video editor, or a videographer. I would be happy being any of these professions, but a film director or video journalist would be my top choices.

Wealth

I’m not really in this field for the money, I just want to do what I enjoy for a job. But, when it comes to salary, I would prefer to make enough money to stably live off of and buy my necessities. The average film director makes about $44 per hour and $92,000 per year, but the bottom ten percent of film directors make about $32,000 yearly. The average salary of a video journalist is about $46,000.

Vacation

My dream vacation has always been to go to Bora Bora in French Polynesia. I would need to save up thousands of dollars to be able to go there, but I think it would be worth it in the end.

My Favorite Hobbies

I have many hobbies and interests that I do on my free time, including all-star cheerleading, filmmaking/videography, editing, photography, and astronomy. My favorite hobbies, however, are editing and photography.

Photography

Photography brings out the creativity in me. I’ve been taking pictures for a long time and I have improved over the years. I eventually got a camera to make my pictures better quality and look more professional. Photography lets me escape into my own creative world where I get to imagine what images I want to take in my head, and then bring my imagination to life through my photos.
